| Step
1. Raise and Support the Vehicle |
| |
With the rear wheels properly blocked, raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with jack stands along the structure of the vehicle. Because you will be removing the bolts that attach the front A-arms to the k-member, do not support the weight of the vehicle at the wheels or on the control arms. The front wheels should be hanging freely above the floor. |

2. Align Template |
| |
A. Cut out the templates along the dotted lines. |
B. Align the templates to the K-member flange along the bottom and inboard sides. Place the templates on the forward side of the K-member flanges. Use a piece of tape on the backside of the templates to hold them in place. |

3. Drill Pilot Holes |
| |
| |
A. Using a center punch, mark the k-member flanges at the designated locations on the template. Because you will be drilling at an angle, it is very important that these punch marks be accurate and as deep as possible. |
B. Drill a 1/8" Pilot hole in the 4 punched locations. Again, because you are drilling at a difficult angle use a good sharp bit and take your time. |

7. Tighten Adapter Plate Bolts |
| |
